Even though we are licensed by the State of NC, we receive $0 from them to assist in the rescue and rehabilitation of NC Wildlife. That’s right, licensed rehabbers do NOT receive any State or Federal funding! We must either hustle for donations or reach into our own pockets to rescue and rehabilitate animals that do not and will never belong to us since the goal is to release them back into the wild. Not only do we not get any government funding but we are not paid for our time either. We invite the wildlife into our homes and volunteer our time, most of which is spent cleaning. Sure we get to feed them and provide medical care if necessary but the rest of the time we are not even interacting with them since the goal is for them to remain wild and not get used to humans. We are more than happy to do so out of our love and respect for wildlife and we only ask 1 thing in return: that you find it in your hearts to help us financially to the extent that you can.
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit so your donations are tax deductible.
The less time that we have to spend hustling for donations the more time & energy we can focus on providing quality care for the animals.

Double Your Donation
Many companies match the charitable donations of their employees. If your company isn’t listed below, a quick search on your companies intranet for “donation matching” should point you in the right direction.
Volunteer Grants
See if your company offers volunteer grants. You volunteer, then your company assigns you a certain amount of $ to donate to a charity!
AIG and TD Bank both offer this option!
